Dark Kusudama Universe

The Dark Kusudama Universe is an immersive origami installation originating from the previous work 'The Kusudama System'. The idea of how fragile an object can be combined with the time revolving around the hidden threats tampering with nature can cause. Utilizing origami to produce a variety of sculptural forms addressing the beauty and threat of nature. The spherical imagery combined with the composition of my work broadens our perception of nature in the sense it is the physical world or universe, playing with micro and macro scales.

 

The chaotic composition of the work deliberately mimics our mysterious ever-expanding universe. The immersing experience allows the public to be transported into an alternate universe complete to ours, one much darker and warped revealing these hidden threats that nature can have while hinting at the beauty within the organization of our universe.
