Tunnel Vision

Revealing the hidden beauty within nature this site-specific installation focuses on the biodiversity along the canal and exposes the fragile forms within nature, the artwork draws attention to the beauty of mosses to be found along the canal. This interest lies in the fragility of materials and nature, exploring how the manipulation of paper sculptures can convey on the idea of responding to the sublime. Exploring the moments in time where it's sublime allows the audience to contemplate the mysteries surrounding nature that are yet to be uncovered.

Modular origami which consists of many unit origami pieces connected develops itself quite well into the appetite canal project as it allows him to explore the ecology within the project. Researching the different plant life and ecologies along the canal and relating them to his own practices, the floral modular origami work lends well to moss growing along the canal.
